Do The Right Thing

In celebration of 100 Years of Community Cinemas, we’ll be showing the Spike Lee classic, Do The Right Thing.

On the hottest day of the summer, Mookie, a young Black man in 1980s Brooklyn, navigates the tensions that simmer between the Italian-American owners of the restaurant where he works and the predominantly Black community it serves. As the heat intensifies, so do racial resentments, ultimately exploding into a violent confrontation that forces everyone to examine questions of justice, responsibility, and prejudice.

Sunday, October 12
